CEEN
Back in the month of Dhul-Hijjah we released CEEN, which sold out very quickly. Due to the high demand we have retrieved another few bottles from our storage. The sacred Islamic Month of Dhul-Hijjah, historically this was the month wherein all of the different caravans from the furthermost corners of the globe would converge onto the Holy City of Mecca. Laden with the finest silks, exquisite perfumes and exotic spices, skilled merchants prepared to trade and showcase their wares as the masses gathered for the Holy Pilgrimage of al-Hajj.

In memory of this great tradition we reached out to the furthest jungles of Hainan, produced something astounding and added it our caravan of Oudh - the most intricate, mind-boggling and multi-faceted Chinese Oudh Oil you will have the pleasure to sample… Ceen.

Ceen refers to China in Arabic and is very much a fine representation of the beautifully detailed and complex Chinese landscape and culture. Distilled from Wild Chinese Oudh, Ceen,  In Chinese Oudh Oils is an Oil much akin to the peak of Mount Everest.

It’s simple-  No third-man handling of the wood, no contamination in transport, and no mixing of stocks at a traders facility. We didn’t stop there - the Haji who distilled this oil with us was a Chinese gentlemen himself, utilising trademark traditional methods that have been used for decades in extracting herbal oils for Medicinal Purposes.

Aged for 4 years and some, Ceen is an Oil with clear distinct scents celebrating the many terrains and scents of China -  floral fields, herbal medicines, breezing cinnamon into bunches of mint, the rich soil of the south with its sweet dampness settling into  a camphoric woodiness.

If you are interested in Oudh Oils of the far east, then this is the crown that you need to dress your collection with.

What our discerning clientele are saying:

Yeah pretty much nothing like this one and I doubt I will smell something like it in the near future. It is not crowd pleasing but an acquired test as it should be, in a way of challenging the senses. I swear to God I have smelled something similar to this medicinal, herbal, earthy, and moisty camphoric wood aromas somewhere but I don’t remember what it is exactly. The closest thing comes to my mind is the three dimensional aftertaste numbness left after sipping a genuine licorice root beverage LOL! Until I find out what is that smell…to be continued. Epic! Wow!!! it was a long time I dont smell a oud who dont remind me an other oud. I have no reference to compare it to an other. Its a chinese oud for shure but so sweet and smooth. It open with a walk in the forest, not the jungle but a french wait forest in the fall full of mushroom. But you already get a beautiful note of wild honey in the nose. The chinese medecin/kinamic note is already here but very smooth. I love this oud a the first swipe. I put Ceen on this morning and am amazed that I still can easily smell it. Jarrod- this oil eludes me. When I first opened the bottle and the scent jumped out at me I thought, “this is an oil that really does smell floral. After settling on my skin a while it smelled more herbal and damp. The biggest surprise was an intermittent scent of cinnamon bark rolled in mint! Just when I thought I had the scent pinned down a sweet wetness seeped through. One moment I smelled really sweet, dark earth. The next moment there was a feeling of lightness- wind adrift in linament! Next a very slight bandaid smell doused in myrrh. Peat moss one moment. Wintergreen and red wine the next! The dry down smelled slightly terpenic- mild woods with clear, earthy and camphoraceous overtones. M.W USA

This is the most amazing Chinese oil I have tried. Previosly I was not satisfied with the Chinese oils I had tried so far. When I opened Ceen, straight away I felt the uniqueness of this oil;  a clear distinction in quality, scent and silage, there is no dung, or barn in this, pure amazing scent journey.  F.H UK

So, as I mentioned before I am quite new to oud. I have tried about 15, I only own a few. But even to my undeveloped nose: Ceen is completely stunning.

The opening (and the scent from the bottle) is so powerful- and then it has so many dimensions and phases. I am loving all of them, but I think if I could stop time in those first moments of high pitched, very medicinal beauty...this is really a scent fantasy for me. It has me excited to continue learning, and awed by the pleasure it is already granting. I love the floral phases as well, but that minted medicinal thing!

Thanks- please know that I am VERY happy with my purchase. It is the best and most satisfying oud that I own. I will cherish it. S.P USA
