Khulood

In classical texts such as Al Kindi’s work on perfumery and Al Sahrawi’s works on fragrant ingredients there is mention of a special type of wood famous in Hind. Hind is the Arabic term for the subcontinent. From the characteristics that define this wood is that it is found near water bodies, named in the local dialects as Samandari, meaning by the sea.
