100% authentic oudh from the best natural ingredients
Faje is oud in its natural state, unpolished and unapologetic prized by seasoned oud collectors and connoisseurs who value character.
Faje; A Surprise That Awakens the Primitive Soul
From the depths of the ancient rainforests of Kalimantan, Faje emerges a bold and unexpected expression of pure Indonesian oud oil, crafted for those who seek intensity, authenticity, and quiet dominance.
Named Faje (فاجِئ) Surprise, this rare oud oil reveals itself slowly, then completely, drawing the wearer into a dark, resinous world where aged wood, living sap, and smoke intertwine. Distilled by Al Shareef, the pinnacle of artisan perfumery, Faje is an oud that does not whisper it commands.
The Scent Profile; Dark, Resinous, Irresistibly Woody
At first contact, Faje strikes with a dense, resin-loaded woody opening, unmistakably Kalimantan in character. There is no sweetness to distract, no adornment to soften its power. Instead, you are met with raw agarwood richness, thick with natural resins and the unmistakable depth of tropical hardwood.
As the oil warms on the skin, the heart begins to unfurl smoky forest air, damp earth, and the scent of ancient trees breathing resin through wounded grain. Leathered undertones emerge naturally, accompanied by a subtle mineral darkness that gives Faje its grounded, almost meditative presence.
The dry down is long, slow, and deeply satisfying. Here, Faje settles into its true nature:
dark woods soaked in resin, gentle smoke curling through the background, and a lingering, balsamic depth that clings to the skin for hours quiet, powerful, and profoundly addictive.
Kalimantan Oud; Untamed, Resin-Rich, Authentic
Kalimantan oud is revered for its woody, earthy, and resinous profile, often darker and more grounded than its counterparts. Faje exemplifies this tradition perfectly showcasing: Deep woody dominance, Heavy natural resin content, Earthy, forest-floor nuances, Soft incense and mineral warmth, Minimal sweetness, maximum depth.
This is oud in its natural state, unpolished and unapologetic prized by seasoned oud collectors and connoisseurs who value character over comfort.
Traditional Distillation; The Al Shareef Standard
Faje is distilled using traditional stainless-steel distillation pots, a method chosen deliberately to preserve clarity, depth, and the true aromatic spectrum of the resin-rich wood. No shortcuts. No modern interference. Just time, patience, and mastery. Every drop reflects the Al Shareef ethos reverence for classical perfumery, uncompromising material selection, and a relentless pursuit of olfactory excellence.
From Modhesh to Faje; A Refined Evolution
Those familiar with Modhesh will recognise a shared lineage yet Faje ventures further into refinement. Where Modhesh introduced intrigue, Faje deepens it: more woody, more resinous, more lure.
Faje is not a reinterpretation it is an escalation.

OUDH FACTS
When used in a perfume composition, Oud is most often a base note, which tends to remain on the skin long after the others dissipate. Since they form the perfume’s foundation, base notes are very rich, heavy and long-lasting (up to six hours and more). They serve to enhance the scent of other ingredients; and, in some cases, they impart a fragrance all their own. While most wood notes are known for their earthy qualities, Oud provides a pleasant sweet scent and is often featured in a synthetic version because it is so costly to harvest.
